Motorcycling nirvana. 13 days of sheer, unadulterated, two-wheeled
bliss. This tour combines the six days of the 'Alpine Tour'
with additional days spent in the far north of the southern
island.

 This
tour passes some of the most impressive and beautiful areas of
New Zealand’s south island. The first day starts with an
amazing ride through the plain of Canterbury and along one of
the most beautiful roads in New Zealand. Arthur Pass is the highest
and most impressive highway over the Southern Alps! You’ll
see dense rain forest, steep slopes, strange rock formations,
snow-covered mountains, deep blue rivers, colossal valleys and
flat plains all within just 250 kilometres of each other!
Once on the west coast you’ll be amazed at how thousands
of years of rain, wind and saltwater have formed the Pancake Rocks
and the gigantic Blowholes at Punakaiki. Riding south you’ll
see the imposing Franz Joseph and Fox glacier and then ride over
the Alps via the beautiful Haast Pass. The road winds along steep
slopes with huge views over the glacier lakes Hawea and Wanaka
and down to the same named town.
 The
northern section adds whale watching and the beautiful coastline
around Kaikoura and the Abel Tasman National Park. The additional
southern part takes you through the indescribably beautiful fjordland
to Milford Sound. No matter how you say “steep ravines,
deep fjords, blue shimmering crevasses, snow-covered Alps, blue
seas and thundering waterfalls” the words just cannot do

Heading north after exploring the beautiful Catlins Forest Park
you’ll take the coast road before turning inland past Mt
Cook on the way to Christchurch.
There is no more spectacular Self Guided Tour of New Zealand
than this and no better way of seeing it than on a motorbike.
